We are a house clearance and removal company in Manchester who remove and clear absolutely everything and anything, from smaller items like, clothes, books, records, ornaments, plants to larger items such as old furniture, sofa's, beds and electrical appliances . It really doesn't matter if you wish for us to remove just one or two items, or clear a whole house, we bring our own boxes, bags etc and pack everything that has to go, you can either leave us the keys to your property and we will call when we have finished or you can sit down and have a cuppa and watch us work. No job is too large or small and we guarantee satisfaction!
BEFORE THE HOUSE CLEARANCEFrom your telephone call on 0161 773 0842 to Trevor Walker House Clearances, we will contact you to discuss the requirements of your job.
We will ask you about the size and the location of the property and confirm parking and access.
We will ask you if there is anything large or unusual in the property. We expect things like wardrobes & washing machines, it does help however if we know in advance that there is a piano, or a car in the garage for removal, or if there is a large object within the loft (it has been known!).
We will agree a fee. This fee is fixed and will include up to one and a half tonnes of waste for recycling, which we find is adequate for most three bedroom houses.
We will agree a date and a time for the house clearance, and we will meet you at the property. Or if you can't be there, then we will obtain details of your solicitor or estate agent and contact them to discuss obtaining the keys.
That's it. You don't have to do anything else before the house clearance. We don't ask you to sort through, or to bag or box up. Just leave it all for us. We'll do all the work.
ON THE DAY OF THE PROPERTY CLEARANCEWe will meet you, or your representative, at the property at the time and date agreed.
We will ask you to show us exactly what you would like done. And specifically to point out anything which you do not want clearing or removing from the property.
The team will then set to work, and will empty the whole house, including all the cupboards, the loft, the shed, the garage. And if you have asked us, the carpets will be uplifted too. All furniture and contents will be removed and taken away for recycling, at the nearest recycling centre.
When the property is empty, we will hoover it, and leave it clear and tidy.
We will then give you a call, and ask you to meet us at the property, to check that everything has been done to your satisfaction. In over 40 years of doing house clearances we have never had an unsatisfied customer.
PAYMENTIt is only then, when the job is done at your property, that we ask for payment from you. You can pay by cheque or debit card, and we will give you a full VAT invoice, which in many instances you can forward to your solicitor for reimbursement.
